Octopus Vibrator Review: Multifunctional Fun

This is a sponsored post.

Sometimes I don’t know what to make of a sex toy until I try it. The Octopus vibrator from Ootyemo is an interesting multifaceted toy that shines in versatility and powerful vibrations. More of a chimera than an octopus, it’s also not quite sure what it is. But that doesn’t mean it’s not fun to find out!

First Impressions

The Octopus vibrator comes in a white box with an image of the product.

White box with pink toy pictured, captioned "jack"

Inside the outer sleeve of the product is a black box made of sturdy, stiff cardboard that is pretty lovely and would be a fine place to store the toy.

You may notice that the branding on the Octopus vibrator is different between the box, product description, and product name. The box clearly says “Jack.” Maybe that’s its name. The purchase page online calls this a Multifunctional Breast Massager, and the description refers to it as an Octopus vibrator. I’m going with Octopus vibrator because I find it the most appealing name.

I’m not going to address the box caption “Give you sexy hands” except to say that I’ve seen it on other toys and it is clearly a phrase that suffers in translation.

The Octopus comes with a charging cable and an instruction card.

One end of the Octopus has a rounded head, and at the other end are elongated silicone tendrils. The bottom half of the toy where the tendrils are is in a twisting shape pattern. I’ve been actually thinking of this toy as the Juicer because of how much the bottom resembles a citrus reamer.

(Plus the fun potential of the word “reamer.”)

Here are some other shots of the toy.

The Octopus actually has two motors: one controls the head end and one controls the tentacle end. They’re somewhat independently controlled, although the tentacle end has to be on in order for the head end to turn on. But you can vary the intensity/patterns on each.

In Use

The octopus is a mysterious animal, and the Octopus vibrator is a mysterious vibrator. It took me a lot of experimenting to figure out how I wanted to use it.

The website gives some suggestions, but I didn’t start there. I started (as always) with experimentation.

I began with the tentacle end, as it looked to be the more interesting end. The tentacles seemed made for clit stimulation, and they do somewhat work for that, but they surround the clit more than actually stimulating it directly. It’s possible to line up one or two with it, at which point they do vibrate across the surface and provide an unusual sensation. I didn’t like that very much, but that’s personal preference rather than anything wrong with the product.

I also tried the tentacles on my breasts, as the name of the toy indicates, and that worked better. Again, I struggled to line them up well. The tentacle end requires a deft hand. Pressing it against the area to be stimulated means that the tentacles themselves are useless. Lining the toy up the correct distance away from the body, especially when you can’t see the area in question, requires some trial and error.

I ended up switching pretty quickly toward the head of the Octopus. When I turned on that motor, I was immediately impressed by its intensity and rumbliness. It felt like a stronger vibrator than at the other end, but that might just be because the vibration was transmitted by a solid body and not a flapping piece of silicone.

While the Octopus head was fine against my clit, I much preferred it internally. One complicating factor is that the buttons are on this end. Insertion is fine; the website suggests that, after all. Inserting it means you’re stuck with whatever settings you choose.

The toy has some flexibility in the middle. Here’s a shot of me bending it a bit:

Bending the Octopus

As a result of this, I found myself using the Octopus head internally and angling the body slightly to press a bit on my clit. This stimulation felt fantastic. With both motors on, it was providing excellent sensations, and it was really easy for me to reach climax.

I know there are a lot of ways to use this toy, but they seem very subjective. I think many people will like the tentacles. For me, though, that insertable head is the way to go.

Kudos and Caveats

Kudos for versatility. This Octopus vibrator may be unusual and it may not work in all ways for all people, but it’s providing opportunities to try new types of sensations.

More kudos for magnetic induction charging, and related kudos to the fact that this toy is waterproof.

Kudos for a strong vibrator in the octopus’s head. That felt so good.

Kudos for two different vibrators that I can control separately.

Caveat: the buttons to control those vibrators are on the best insertable part of the toy.

Caveat: the tentacles aren’t really doing it for me, and they were long enough that they got in the way rather than providing useful stimulation. Your mileage may vary. They could be really fun as a teasing stimulation with a partner.

Another caveat: There’s no storage bag with the Octopus vibrator. You could keep it in the box, but I wish it had a nice bag.

Final caveat: the toy advertises one use as anal stimulation, but I do not think the neck of the toy is narrow enough for me to feel safe using it anally. Don’t insert this toy in your bum.

Kudos for the price point. At only $45, this is a reasonably-priced toy that would be worth buying just to see if it works for you.

Final Thoughts

The Octopus vibrator, or Jack, or juicer, or multifunctional breast massager, is a toy with many names and many potential uses. I’m not sure how much others will like its variety of options, but I liked experimenting with them. I had fun figuring out what works for me. This would be a fun toy for trying new forms of stimulation. It’s powerful, insertable, waterproof, and ready to rumble! You might just want to give it a try. Check out Ootyemo for this toy and many more!
