Happy Summer, everyone! Well, almost summer, as the solstice is tomorrow, but close enough for me. I’m happy to be kicking off my summer vacation with my Lelo INA Thrust review. The INA Thrust is a thrusting rabbit-style vibrator that provides clitoral vibration along with a g-spot focused thrusting arm. Let’s get into it!
First Impressions
Lelo’s branding is minimalist and consistent. The INA Thrust comes in a black box with a clear front window showing the toy. It also shows a reflection since it’s shiny and I can’t really get the angle right to show the toy but not my phone and ceiling fan. Oh well. #organic
Once into the box, you find the INA Thrust and accompaniments: storage bag, charging cable, and lube.
Let’s take a closer look at the INA Thrust itself.

It’s a standard-looking rabbit configuration with an external clitoral arm and an internal arm curved for g-spot focus.
I squished one part of the g-spot arm here to show how this section is flexible and made to thrust. You know, hence the name.
The INA Thrust does include app control, which I’ll address later. The on-toy device controls consist of a central depressed main button with a +/- horizontally and an up/down carat vertically.
These are used to cycle through patterns as well as change intensities.
Primary marketing for the INA Thrust is about its “DynamicThrust” technology, meaning that it aims to mimic lifelike human penetration rather than a robotic continuous jackhammering. Personally, I love a good robotic continuous jackhammering, but that’s my personal kink rather than a stylistic recommendation.
So let’s talk function.
In Use
It took me a little while to figure out the different patterns and options for the INA Thrust. At its most basic, the clitoral arm vibrates and the internal arm thrusts. The different patterns, though, let you select just the clit vibration, or just the thrusting, or a ramping up of one and then the other, or just one, etc etc. There’s a lot of variation, and you can also increase intensity along the way. This took some experimenting.
I did find the thrusting motion pleasant. It’s not very intense, so I could tell things were happening but wasn’t driven mad with overwhelming arousal. Which is fine! The clitoral vibrator is fairly rumbly, so the vibrations penetrate, although I wouldn’t have minded internal vibrations as well. Some carry through the body of the toy, but the primary internal function is thrusting.
It wasn’t difficult for me to reach my destination with the INA Thrust, once I got it to an intensity I liked. The motion was really nice, and the clitoral arm felt well-situated. It never felt overwhelming and it was quite fun to play with. I appreciate that in addition to having patterns/combos available, you can control the intensity of the clitoral vibrator and the g-spot thruster separately. The center depression is the pattern swapper, and the side buttons control various intensities. It’s a lot to manage if you want to switch gears midstream, but I got the hang of it decently fast.
Does it feel like intercourse? Well, not really. The majority of the vaginal nerve endings are located in the first inch or so, and that’s the part of the toy that’s a) narrowest and b) immobile. So I got the feeling of internal motion, but that felt more like a partner curling fingers back and forth inside me rather than thrusting. That’s okay, since both feelings are really nice! But I think it’s important to manage your expectations for a product like this. Enjoyable rabbit vibrator? Absolutely. Replacement for partner intercourse? No, and that’s okay.
Kudos and Caveats
Kudos for aesthetics. The Lelo INA Thrust is curved, shapely, not overly large, and designed to hit the right spots.
More kudos for functional design. The clitoral vibrator is solid and the thrusting part really does move without being hindered by being, you know, inserted into a vagina. The bulb part at the insertable end is thick enough to be noticeable but not sizable enough to be a hindrance for most people.
Additional kudos for waterproofing — a high-end toy should be able to go with you to the bath or shower if you so choose.
Even more kudos for letting me control all the bits separately. I don’t want to be hamstrung by a pattern’s presets if what I want is less clitoral vibration and more thrusting power, or vice-versa.
Caveat: the app (in my opinion) doesn’t add much in the way of functionality for the solo practitioner. While it’s nice to connect remotely to another partner, if you’re the only one working with the toy, the app is less straightforward than the buttons on the base. All the preset modes have names like “Build me up” that don’t tell you what function you’re getting. Yes, there are two app-only bonus modes: Out of Control and Finish Me Off, but I don’t want wild variation in speed and intensity when I’m trying to get off. I want consistency and reliability.
Additional caveat: the price point of the INA Thrust, like most Lelo products, is not for the beginner or the faint of heart. Currently the INA Thrust is being listed at $239 USD, which is a lot of money for most people. Is it worth the cost? I think that’s a personal decision. Fortunately, Lelo often has sales, so you could always hold out if you’ve got heart-eyes for the INA Thrust and a wallet that doesn’t match your desires.
Final Thoughts
I really enjoy the Lelo INA Thrust, although I don’t think it’s doing too much revolutionary work and the price point makes me cringe. The toy is well-designed, beautiful, functional, and a much better introduction to thrusting toys than some of the products out there. The full range of customizable vibration and thrusting make it well-suited for most bodies, and that’s worth celebrating. You can buy the INA Thrust and a lot of other high-end toys directly from Lelo.
I received this toy in exchange for my honest review. Affiliate links are being used in this post, and buying a product through these links benefits me and this blog.
