MythToy Arc Review: Too Much To Handle

I am always cautiously excited about reviewing for new (or new-to-me) companies. MythToy reached out to have me try their products, and I was thrilled to jump aboard. The Arc Ergonomic Air-Pulse Wand is a beautiful toy that seems like it would be a lot of fun to use, but the reality is it’s more than I can handle. Let’s dig in!

First Impressions

The MythToy Arc comes in a simple black box with gold lettered branding.

Inside, you get the toy as well as a pretty soft suede storage bag, charging cable, and instructions.

Now a closer look at the Arc itself.

The Arc shares some design aesthetics with Lelo products, and that’s a compliment. The silicone is soft-touch and pleasant to handle. It has a rose gold accent plate. The toy is a lovely light lilac color rather than a more off-putting garish tone. Everything about it says elegance.

The MythToy Arc has 10 settings: three intensities and seven patterns. There are only two buttons, + and -, which you use to cycle through these intensities and patterns.

But now we have to talk function.

In Use

The base setting of the MythToy Arc is so high that I at first thought I did something wrong. I thought maybe this toy weirdly turns on at a higher setting? Other toys do this; sometimes toys with a very low “low” setting have the starter setting at, say, a level 3 intensity which you can cycle down from.

But the Arc? No, the Arc just starts at full throttle and ramps up from there.

Rather than a pure suction toy, the Arc combines vibration with suction-driven pulsation. There’s a soft silicone membrane inside the nozzle, and air presumably moves that membrane in and out, creating suction. But the toy itself also vibrates. The combination is so intense that I can’t actually use the Arc. I tend to be really sensitive, and I usually use my toys on a lower setting. I couldn’t even situate this on my clit without intense discomfort. I gave this toy a hard “nope” instead.

There are a few other features that irritate me. I don’t mind having the intensities and patterns all controlled by the + and – button, since it’s not that uncommon. But at the top of the order, it doesn’t go back to the beginning. You can keep hitting the + over and over again but it’s not going to circle back. You either have to press the – nine times to get back to the start, or you have to turn the toy off and back on again. My biggest complaint, though, is clearly that it’s too intense for me to use even on the lowest setting.

Branding Confusion

There’s something amiss about the branding for the Arc. This is a screenshot from the product page:

Form Meets Function.

The Arc is designed to solve a common problem: hand cramps. By integrating a secure control ring into its sleek, curved chassis, this air-pulse stimulator becomes a natural extension of your hand.

It focuses entirely on Contactless Suction, using rapid waves of air pressure to deliver deep, resonant climaxes without over-stimulating the surface.

Why It Stands Out

The Ergonomic Loop: Slip your finger through the ring to anchor the device. This allows for micro-adjustments in angle and pressure with zero effort.

10 Suction Modes: Explore 3 steady speeds and 7 rhythmic patterns, controlled by a simple two-button interface.

Liquid-Like Silicone: Coated in our signature matte black silicone that feels warm and velvety against the skin.

Shower Ready: Magnetic charging ensures a seamless body. It is splash-proof for shower use (Note: please do not fully submerge for extended periods).

They mention this “Control ring” and “ergonomic loop” twice, but I didn’t receive anything like that with my product. It’s the top selling point. I’m not sure if this was a product design change that never got updated in the branding? Also, it say it’s “coated in our signature matte black silicone” and that silicone is definitely purple.

Kind of weird.

Who Would Like This Toy?

When I am obviously not the right audience for a toy, I try to include information on who this product is designed for. The MythToy Arc is a good choice for someone who wants vibration along with clit suction and needs more intense stimulation to come. If you always ramp your toys up to a higher strength, this might be a good product for you. Granted, you only get three intensity levels before you get into patterns…but since intensity one is “rocket launch,” three might be enough.

The Arc has other things going for it. The toy aesthetics are beautiful, and even the storage bag is lovely. (Nice to have one that’s not black satin.) It’s mostly waterproof, suitable for shower play. It’s indeed ergonomic and easy to hold, even if the mythical control ring is nowhere to be found. The design is nice…but it’s not for beginners.

Final Thoughts

The MythToy Arc is too strong a toy for me. I tend to like more gentle sex toys, and this thing is not gentle. But if you want your clit launched into light speed, you can get the Arc from MythToy for $69.00 right now. And if you want something else, MythToy has a lot of other products you might want to try. Hope springs eternal.

I received this toy in exchange for my honest review. Affiliate links are being used in this post, and buying a product through these links benefits me and this blog.
