June is drawing to a close, and my Lovense Dolce review shows just how sweet summer can be! Yes, i’s summer sensations, and I’m making a pun on the product name “Dolce.” You know I’m all about that pun life. The Lovense Dolce is a wearable app-controlled vibrator that provides both clitoral and g-spot stimulation. I know I’m late to the Lovense party, but damn, I’m happy to be here. Just like with the Lovense Nora rabbit vibe, the Dolce is a powerful, beautifully-designed toy with app functionality that elevates it from effective to magical.
First Impressions
The Lovense Dolce comes in a simple, nice-looking white box with a product image on the front.
I love the branding Lovense (along with so many other sex toy companies) uses nowadays, with a sleek white box and simple iconography. It’s 2024, and I should not be subjected to an image of some woman faking an orgasm in graphic close-ups on my product box.
Get into that box, and here’s the Dolce.
Along with its charger, the Dolce also comes with a tiny fold-out user manual and a black satin storage bag.
Now, here’s a closer look at the Dolce itself.
The Dolce has a thinner ridged arm for external clitoral stimulation and a larger bulb-shaped arm for internal g-spot stimulation. The u-shaped Dolce has a flexible hinge, so you can easily adjust the angle between the clit arm and the internal arm.
So many great design choices went into this product. First off, the clitoral arm isn’t flat. It has a raised ridge in the middle, which you can see in the third picture above. This means that the vibrations are focused on the clitoris itself, rather than spread across the entire surface as is common with a flat-faced vibe.
Second, the internal arm is a bulb and not a flat panel. Unlike other wearable vibes, the Dolce is not designed to be worn during intercourse, so there’s no slim internal profile. I happen to love this, because I’m wearing the Dolce solo and I want to actually feel the internal g-spot stimulation.
The buttons are fairly easy to reach on the Dolce, but I’m not using the buttons to control it. Instead, I’m all about that Lovense App life, which I’ll discuss a bit in the next section.
In Use
The Dolce has two strong, rumbly vibrators in that tiny pink package. Two vibrators means independently controlled clitoral and g-spot stimulation. And when I say rumbly, I mean rumbly. These are some good-quality vibes, team. I am a huge fan.
I went into a lot of detail about the Lovense App on my review of the Nora. I’m not going to rehash all its many features. Here’s a brief overview: the app allows multiple ways to control the toy, either alone or with a partner. Each vibrator is independently operated, so you can slide the icons to increase or decrease intensity, select and program patterns, give control over to a partner (or a random stranger), play games (really), sync with music, noise, or videos, and more. I like the feature where I can use someone else’s pre-programmed sequence. It’s like giving control over to another person without having to initiate that exchange.
The Dolce is powerful and well-designed, and I had no trouble getting off (sometimes more than once) every time I used it.
Kudos and Caveats
Kudos for so many clever design features. I appreciate a raised clitoral ridge for pinpoint stimulation. I like the large g-spot bulb. I especially enjoy the customizable angle of the bend to accommodate different bodies.
The biggest of kudos for rumbly vibrators that provide strong sensation at a variety of intensities.
Kudos for an incredible app that exceeds the functionality of pretty much every other sex toy app I’ve ever used. And I’ve used a lot of them.
Kudos for waterproofing! Take the Dolce in the bath or shower if you enjoy such things
Caveat: this is a quibble, but the storage bag feels pretty cheap compared to the quality of the vibrator. I wish it were a nicer fabric instead of this scratchy polyester material.
Kudos for a giant sale. I don’t know how long this sale is continuing, but at the time of this posting, the dolce is almost half off! That brings the price down from a steep $229 to $119 plus shipping, and that’s a steal for such a great toy.
Final Thoughts
I’m really happy to be reviewing Lovense products. The Nora was wonderful and the Dolce is just a delight. With brilliant design and a world-class app, I highly recommend the Lovense Dolce. Especially with such a big sale right now. How sweet it is!
