Here is the rose end, where the vibrator obviously gets its name.

The close-up is a bit blurry, but you can see that in the center of the rose is one petal that resembles a tongue more than anything else. When the Rose Licking Vibrator is turned on, that soft petal flicks back and forth like a tongue.

The other end of the rose vibrator is a curved nub.

In this pic it just looks like a disappointed dinosaur, I know. But this is the insertable end if you want to use the Rose Licking Vibrator for g-spot stimulation.

In Use

I enjoyed experimenting with the different ways the Rose Licking Vibrator can be used. The rose itself is the most unique end. You can push the top button to turn the rose on and cycle through the intensities and patterns. Both the rose tongue and the vibrator end have similar options in that regard. The tongue flicks back and forth, and it feels a bit like a cross between a light rubbing and a vibrator. The motion is so fast that it’s hard to distinguish from vibration, but it’s subtly different.

The other end of the toy, the insertable end, is a g-spot vibrator. I found this vibration a bit more buzzy than rumbly, but the firmness of the tip meant it was effective as both an internal and external vibrator. The angle of the end allowed me to line it up well with my clit for external use.

For clit stimulation, though, the rose is the way to go. It took me a bit to get the angle right. The head of the rose is angled slightly, and so depending on whether you angle the body of the toy up or down shifts the angle of the tongue. I ended up slightly preferring the body of the toy angled down, even though that meant the buttons were harder to reach. There’s also a trick of not pushing the tongue too hard against yourself: if it has more freedom of movement, it’s better stimulation.

I found myself often wishing that the toy was flexible enough for me to use the g-spot half internally while using the rose externally. Sadly, the body of the toy is fairly firm, and this wasn’t an option. I hope they consider it for future updates.

The rose is really designed for use against a clitoris, but it works well on nipples as well, and I’m sure it would work on other sensitive areas, too. I had no trouble getting off with this toy and found the rose tongue a fun sensation.

As for sound, this isn’t the quietest toy, but it’s not really loud. It is barely audible under blankets but would be audible if used uncovered in a quiet room. Your roommates in the next room are unlikely to hear it, especially if you have music on.

Kudos and Caveats

Kudos for a sex toy that doesn’t look like a dick. The rose design is pretty and non-threatening, and even the insertable portion doesn’t look all penis-y.

Kudos for a type of stimulation that’s not just a vibrator. While the rose end does feel a bit like vibration, the back-and-forth flicking of the tongue was different enough to be really fun.

Caveat: the vibrator on the g-spot end was pretty buzzy. If this is the main reason you want to buy this toy, I’d encourage you to buy a different g-spot vibrator.

Kudos for a toy that gives you options: even if it’s not the best g-spot vibrator, it’s pretty good, and it lets you switch up the use when you want something a bit different.

Caveat: you can’t use the rose and the g-spot end at the same time. Bummer.

Kudos for total waterproofing. This toy is a great pick for the bath or shower.
