It’s the last days of summer, at least meteorologically speaking, and I’m happy to round out the Summer Sensations to an even dozen toys with this incredible final wild card. The Honey Play Box Empress is a multifunction adventure with sucking, licking, and vibrating features and the complexity to boot. We’ve gotta dive in here.
First Impressions
Honey Play Box has some excellent packaging. The Empress comes in a large white box with artistically drawn faces on the front.
The box is so big, I had to choose to either focus on the faces or the brand name. I chose the faces.
Open the box, and here’s The Empress.
You can already see some of the unique features, but let me take it out of the box and show you the whole ensemble.
The Empress comes with two different suction cup ends, some tongue sleeves (not sure how else to describe those), and a storage bag just big enough for the lot. You also get a charging cable and instruction manual. Thank goodness for the instruction manual.
Here are some shots of the Empress itself, just the main body.
Clearly, I use the term “the body of the toy” quite literally here. The Empress is shaped like an archetypal woman’s form, complete with generous breasts and a curvaceous frame. At one end is a round head that serves as a vibrator. At the other end, a suction cup and licking tongue.
Unrealistic body standards, amirite?
The licking tongue end of the toy comes with two silicone-rimmed options for the suction cup.
One is longer and more oval-shaped (ovular?) and the other is a circle.
The tongue sleeves do not feel like silicone to me. They feel 100% like TPE, which I don’t put on my bits. So I didn’t use those.
Buttons
The Empress has several functions and the buttons to match. Let’s take another look at those buttons.
The buttons make sense when you know what they are, but my initial guesses from top down were as follows:
- Call lightning
- Craft petroglyph
- Alien abduction
- Dig a hole
Fortunately, the manual goes into detail.
Here’s the actual list of button functions.
- Vibrator
- Power on/off and tongue
- Deflate
- Suck
A fun little note: since this is an actual suction toy, and not a pressure air situation, the Empress needs a vent of some kind to release the air. Guess where they chose to include it?
Yup. They gave the toy a butthole vent. How do you not laugh at that?
Anyway, let’s talk about function.
In Use
I’ve used a number of suction toys before, including the kind with the licking tongue. And generally, they get me off like an avalanche. But I also know that the suction can be overwhelming. So needless to say, I spent a long time figuring out the buttons on The Empress before I put this thing anywhere near my clit.
You should do the same.
Let me tackle the vibrator part first. This is a great vibrator in that it’s strong and surprisingly rumbly. It’s also remarkably loud. It got quieter when I put it against my skin, but if you turn this thing on in a quiet room, your room will no longer be quiet.
The vibrator itself, though, is quality. I prefer more pinpoint stimulation rather than a broad surface like the round ball head of the Empress, but the motor does not suffer.
Sucking and Licking, Oh My
The sucking and licking functions are both tricky and divine.
Sucking first. There are two options. One is to press and hold the bottom button, which is my preferred method. The suction engages during the duration of the time you’re pressing, and then stays at that level when you release. Press the deflate button to deflate.
Option two is to short-press the bottom button, which triggers the automatic suck mode. Automatic mode means the toy alternates sucking and releasing. What you have to watch out for, though, is that it always sucks a bit more than it releases, so the suction increases quite a bit and quickly, too. Then, you have to double tap the bottom button to shut it off. You can hit deflate, but deflate doesn’t end the suction cycle.
For my own purposes, I tried both, but I much prefer setting my desired suction and then leaving it there. The Empress requires some finagling: when you align the toy and begin suction, you don’t know if the tongue is going to line up exactly how you want. So it’s common to start the tongue, begin the suction, realize the tongue is off-center, and have to release the suction to move the toy. A bit fiddly, but fun all the while.
Did it work? My goodness, YES. The Empress did indeed get me off like an avalanche. The deliberate, steady physical pressure across my clit, combined with the increased sensitivity of the suction? Magnificent. Chef’s kiss glorious.
Kudos and Caveats
Kudos for many functions. If you like to switch it up between sucking and licking and vibrations, you can get all three in this toy.
Kudos for suction options. I’ve used toys where my only option is gradually increasing suction, and I like this version much better. I appreciate being able to set my exact level of suction and have the toy maintain that.
Caveat: You have to pay attention to this toy. The Empress might suck too hard and you might end up with bruising or discomfort. Fortunately, the suction head detaches with a quick twist of the body, so you don’t have to worry about it getting stuck on.
Kudos for waterproofing, too. You can take this toy in the bath or shower.
Mixed kudos and caveats for the aesthetics. I get what they’re going with regarding the Empress and the female form, but I don’t need the gimmick. It’s pretty, but the design doesn’t add anything to the function. Except that it’s easy to remember which side the buttons are on because my toy has boobs.
Caveat: I don’t like the material of the tongue sleeves and won’t use them.

Final Thoughts
The Empress is highly functional and yields fabulous pleasure. It’s complex, and so I wouldn’t recommend this toy to the easily intimidated or sex toy newbies.
