Eggplant Vibrator Review: Not Just An Emoji

I was very excited to get the opportunity to review the Eggplant Vibrator from Funzze. While not shaped like an eggplant, this vibrator rocks the eggplant color while also sporting two motors and a flexible shape. While the vibrators themselves could be improved, reviewing this toy was a net positive. Plus, it gives me some emoji opportunities: 🍆 🍆 🍆

First Impressions

The Funzze Eggplant Vibrator came in a plain brown box. Not just the shipping carton. The packaging inside is not branded at all.

blank cardboard box

What’s inside?? A new fountain pen? A bottle of conditioner? In this house, it’s always a sex toy.

The Eggplant Vibrator comes with instructions, a charging cable, and a branded gold satin bag that’s almost too small but fits the toy with a bit of effort.

Here’s the Eggplant vibrator in the skeleton hands.

Skeleton hands

Now, a look at the toy without any distracting hands other than my own.

The Eggplant Vibrator has a primary shaft for g-spot stimulation and a smaller secondary shaft for either g-spot stimulation or, according to their website, perhaps for use with a partner. It charges through magnetic induction.

There are two buttons to control the toy, which you can see below, along with my phone and a weird fisheye look at my dining room.

Two buttons

The buttons are a bit hard to decipher, since the instructions are a bit unclear, but here’s the gist: The one on the left turns the entire toy on. You can also click it twice and turn on the heating function, which warms the main shaft of the toy. A single click of that left button turns on the motor in the main shaft, which makes that end vibrate and also move back and forth in a “come hither” motion. The right button is used to control the smaller arm, which for most folks will probably be a clit stimulator arm. Pushing either of those buttons makes that motor cycle through its various vibration intensities and patterns.

The smaller arm of the toy is very flexible. You can change the angle and it stays put.

Funzze’s marketing says you could insert each end of this in two different partners, and then shows a drawing of two people standing upright, face to face. I think that could possibly work if you were both lying on your backs, scissoring-style, but I can’t picture how you’d work this face to face unless you were both very slender.

Feel free to experiment and let me know how it goes.

In Use

The Eggplant Vibrator is a nice shape and size. For me, it was a good size to insert without a lot of warmup, but big enough that I could feel it. The toy includes two strong vibrators. The motion of the g-spot arm was really fun: it moves a decent amount, enough that I could really feel it rocking inside me.

Both motors are really buzzy. The vibration was only surface-level, which was a bummer, and they’re also really loud. Because they’re also strong, though, I was able to align everything so I didn’t have any trouble reaching orgasm. This toy got the job done, but it would have been absolutely stellar if it was rumbly instead of buzzy.

Kudos and Caveats

Kudos for a flexible design. I love that the angle between the different ends of the toy is changeable, and it holds whatever position you put it in. This makes the toy able to accommodate a variety of bodies. Also, if you’re creative, it could probably indeed accommodate you and a partner at the same time.

Kudos for a heating function, which even though I don’t use, I recognize as useful for many people.

Kudos for waterproofing. Take this toy in the bath or shower and have a good time with it!

Caveat: buzzy vibrators. The technology exists for beautifully rumbly vibrators, but these aren’t them.

Kudos for movement! I like that the g-spot arm moves back and forth.

Kudos for strength. If the vibrators are going to be buzzy, at least have them be strong! And these are strong.

Caveat: This toy is pretty loud. If you’ve got the covers on and the door shut, probably people won’t hear, but it’s not a stealth vibrator by any means.

Caveat: no branding on the packaging. While I like discretion in the mailer, I also like the packaging to show the product and some marketing material. The lack of those make it more challenging to give this toy as a gift.

Kudos for a storage bag, but caveat: it’s a bit hard to fit the toy into the bag without really squashing that outer arm.

Kudos: pricing! The Eggplant Vibrator is reasonably priced, currently only $45.99.

Final Thoughts

The Eggplant Vibrator from Funzze could have better motors, but as for design and aesthetics, it’s got a lot going for it. This is a great toy for someone who doesn’t mind buzziness but likes versatility in their types of penetration, or who enjoys the dual stimulation of internal and external vibration. Having the internal end move elevates this above other similar toys for me. So give it a try and help that emoji live up to its reputation! ❤️ 🍆

Limited Time Offer: From now through 10/25/22, Funzze is offering $20 off a $60+ purchase!
