We-Vibe is always looking to innovate on their vibrators, and I’m here for the evolution. The new We-Vibe Sync O is a C-shaped wearable vibrator that offers focused vibrations in all the right spots. It’s a cool design update that makes the toy comfortable to wear and use. Let’s take a look.
First Impressions
We-Vibe’s packaging is always elegant and sleek. The Sync O comes in a purple box decorated with the company branding and an image of the toy.
The box is purple, which I enjoy.
The box lid lifts up and folds back to reveal the Sync-O.
In addition to the toy, you get a remote control, charging cable, and cloth storage bag.
Now let’s take a better look at the Sync O itself. Here it is from some different angles.
Notice that the insertable part of the toy is shaped like an O (more like a diamond), which gives the toy its name. You can squeeze the flexible sides together to make it easier to insert.
The C-shape of the toy means that the external portion presses against the clitoris (see those raised ridges in the last pic) while the internal portion rests inside the vagina. The bend of the C is flexible so you can suit it to your body shape.
The toy is controllable either by the button on top, the app, or the remote control. Here’s the remote control.
From the remote, you can cycle through vibration patterns and intensities.
In Use
The We-Vibe Sync O is a strong little vibrator, much like everything from We-Vibe. It was simple for me to situate the vibe for wearability. I could bend it easily into shape and then it stayed in place. The internal O-shaped arm was also easy to insert by squeezing the sides of the O together. Once in place, the O opens up and holds the toy stationary, even when I’m walking around.
The app is a perfectly acceptable way to use the Sync O, but the app gives a lot more functionality. In the app, you can blend and program different vibration patterns and intensities or give app control to another person. The vibrator itself is powerful, although it’s not as powerful (to me) as the We-Vibe Tango X. That could be just because the vibe is wearable, so it’s not being directly pressed against its target. It’s still more than sufficient to get the job done.
The Sync O is advertised as being wearable during partner intercourse, but I didn’t test it for this purpose. For solo play, though, it’s a great time.
Kudos and Caveats
Kudos to a wearable vibe designed with comfort and function in mind. I love the open O-shaped internal design and appreciated how stable it felt when I was wearing it.
More kudos for waterproofing, which is an integral part of most (all?) We-Vibe products.
Additional kudos for the app, which lets me fine-tune my experience with this toy.
Gonna sneak in another kudos in there for the quietness of the toy. If you’re in a loud restaurant or bar or concert, you could definitely get away with some stealthy public play with the Sync O.
Caveat: I had some issues with the Bluetooth disconnecting while the toy was in use. This wasn’t as bad as the Bluetooth days of old, but it happened. It could be a line of sight issue with my body/belly being in the way.
Additional caveat: The broad, flat surface of the clit vibrator makes the vibration more diffuse than a pinpoint vibrator. This will be a benefit for some people, but I like more focused stimulation.
Final caveat: At $169, the Sync O is a fairly expensive product. Granted, it’s bearing the quality workmanship and reliability of the We-Vibe name, but it’s not entry-level or priced for an impulse purchase if that’s what you’re looking for.
Final Thoughts
With a new design and the same reliable quality We-Vibe has done it again with the Sync O. The stability and functionality of this toy is excellent and I love how well it stays in place. I have some quibbles with the Bluetooth connection, but overall, I’m quite happy with this product. If you don’t have any wearable Sync vibes from We-Vibe, or you haven’t been satisfied with the way previous ones fit, I’d recommend getting yourself a Sync O!
