It’s a good thing I like the We-Vibe Rave, because this title is too good to pass up.
This We-Vibe Rave review looks at a well-designed g-spot vibrator from a company that specializes in well-designed vibrators. We-Vibe makes one of my favorite toys, the Tango X, in addition to an assortment of other wonderful toys. The Rave is a strong, rumbly g-spot vibrator with an interesting asymmetrical design and a lot of potential.
First Impressions
The Rave comes in a gray box with an image of the toy on the front.
Like most (all?) We-Vibe toys, the Rave comes with a white satin bag and lube along with its charging cable and instructions.
The Rave is a very solid toy with no squishiness to it. The surface is covered with a soft-touch silicone, so it feels nice to handle. It has a very pronounced curve to target the g-spot.
In addition to the curve, the head of the toy is asymmetrical, the most bulbous part set a bit off to one side. This makes the toy ideal for twisting alongside thrusting.
The Rave is a toy you stab through the butt-dimple to charge. It has three buttons (on/patterns, + and – to control intensity). You can also control the Rave through the We-Connect app.
In Use
The Rave feels very firm in hand, but with some lube (natural or store-bought), I found it very easy to insert. The buttons are clearly located right near my thumb for easy control.
The curve of the Rave is quite pleasant. For me, it was easy to align the toy with my g-spot, and the firm structure allowed for exactly the level of intense pressure I enjoy. Twisting the toy provides a neat sensation as well due to the asymmetrical head. It works well for thrusting, rocking, and also stationary play. The vibrations were rumbly and strong, and combined with external clit stimulation, I had no trouble getting off with the Rave.
The Rave is designed for internal stimulation, but it’s also fine to use externally as well. I did use the Rave for clit stimulation a few times to see how I felt about it. While it’s an excellent vibrator, the broad head isn’t a good match for the kind of clit stimulation I like. I like pinpoint stimulation more. It works fine for warming me up, though, which is great.
Kudos and Caveats
Kudos for a rumbly vibrator. We-vibe is always rumbly!
Kudos for a solid curve designed to hit the g-spot. Bonus kudos for the asymmetrical head, which looks weird but adds some neat functionality.
Additional kudos for a firm toy that can provide good g-spot pressure.
Caveat: the Rave is only water-resistant, not waterproof. Seems like you should be able to take the Rave into the bath, but you can’t. Okay to rinse it off and such, but don’t submerge it. That seems a shame at this price point.
Kudos for app connectivity. While I find the Rave’s buttons easy enough to use by hand, the app allows customization and touch-responsiveness. It also lets you connect to a long-distance partner and let them control your vibe, which is a good time.
Kudos for a decently quiet vibe. Not silent, but still pretty quiet.
Final Thoughts
The We-Vibe Rave provides a reliable, strong g-spot vibrator for those who like internal stimulation. It’s well-designed and well-powered, plus the aesthetics are lovely. This is a great vibe for fans of g-spot play to add to their toy box.
