Romp Riot Review: Sexmas Day Six

It’s Christmas Eve, and if you celebrate, I hope you’re having a merry one! I’m honoring Day Six of Sexmas with a review of the Romp Riot. This bite-sized bullet packs a powerhouse punch, and that’s about all the alliteration I can handle for one day. Let’s get to it!

First Impressions

Romp is a sex toy line of budget-friendly toys that don’t sacrifice on quality. From the same company that brought you We-Vibe and Womanizer, now there’s Romp!

The Romp packaging is simple, bright, and friendly.

Nothing fancy here: you get the bullet, instructions, and a charging cable. For this price point, you can’t expect extras like storage pouches. My Riot also came with these amazing stickers, although I’m not sure if that’s standard or promotional.

Romp out of packaging

The Riot is about the size of a cocktail weenie, or my thumb. It’s coated in soft-touch silicone and has a single button at the base to control power, intensity, and patterns. The charging cable plugs in on the side.

It’s a pleasant peach color with a yellow base. All around friendly vibes.

In Use

The Romp Riot is surprisingly powerful. It has six intensity levels and then four patterns, and you cycle through them by pressing that single button at the base.

Although the vibrations are more on the buzzy side, I was really impressed with the intensity. Even on the lowest setting, the power felt strong but not overwhelming, and it was easy to ramp up to serious strength if I wanted to.

I had no trouble getting off with the Riot. Its small size partnered well with other toys like a favorite dildo. The Riot doesn’t get in the way and made my playtime an absolute delight.

I was very impressed with the Riot, especially at this price point.

Kudos and Caveats

Kudos for a powerful bullet vibrator that knows what it’s doing! I don’t expect rumbles for this cost, but the vibrations were still pleasant, resonant, and not itchy.

More kudos for the aesthetic. I love the bright, non-gendered color.

Big kudos for the price point. The Riot is only $20! That’s way better than what you can get for a similar price at a place like Spencer’s Gifts, which is sadly where a lot of people buy their first vibrators. At $20, it’s in impulse purchase territory, or perfect for someone who is taking a risk on a new company or a new type of toy.

Kudo and caveat: The Riot is splashproof, but it’s not submersible waterproof. Fine to rinse off for easy cleaning but not good to play with in the bath or shower.

Caveat: Remember that this is a $20 entry-level basic vibrator. You’re not getting a storage case, magnetic induction charging, rumbly vibrations, a dozen patterns, etc. You’re getting strong power at a great deal. Don’t expect this vibrator to be something it’s not, and you won’t be disappointed.

Final Thoughts

Everyone who enjoys external stimulation should have a quality bullet vibrator. If you’ve got a bunch of money to invest, go with something higher end like the We-Vibe Tango X. But if you’re not planning on dropping that kind of cash, the Romp Riot is a total steal. This is a great toy for people who are new to sex toys or who want an additional option for external play. It’s a perfect toy to toss into a travel bag for fun on the road, too.

What are you waiting for? Go have a Riot!

I received this toy in exchange for my honest review. Affiliate links are being used in this post, and buying a product through those links benefits me and this blog.
