I love octopuses. If you meet me, one of the first things you’ll probably notice is the giant octopus tattoo on my shoulder. When I got the chance to try a product from Interesting Realm, I immediately spotted the octopus clit sucker, and I knew I had to give it a try. My octopus clit sucker review looks at a product with a few minor design flaws that’s still a fun, quality sex toy.
Out of the Box
The octopus clit sucker comes in a white shrink-wrapped box with an image of the product on the outside.
Inside the box, you’ll find the octopus as well as a quick-start guide, a charging cable, and a cute note thanking you for your purchase.
The octopus is a silicone-covered light pink round (very round) toy with a white clit sucker nozzle and eight little silicone legs that don’t do anything but look cute. Let’s take a look from some various angles.
The octopus is controlled by a single button on the top. It’s charged through a port on the back, the kind of charging port where you have to stab the end in through the silicone and it seems like you’re murdering it.
Fun fact, though: when this little dude is charging, he glows blue out of his mouth. It’s very cute.
Cute is great and all, but how does he function?
Onto My Box
The octopus clit sucker functions pretty well, actually, with a few minor quibbles.
Probably the biggest quibble is the size of the nozzle. It’s just not very big, as you can see in the above pictures. If you are a person with a larger sized clitoris, this is going to be focused on one part rather than engulfing the entire clitoris. This also means that the nozzle is a bit finicky to maneuver into place.
Once it’s in place, though, the octopus clit sucker does its job. There are nine levels of intensity, and the first few are quite low. This can be nice: it’s a mild sensation. I found a sweet spot around intensity three or so, but your mileage may vary. As I mentioned, he goes up to nine. As it gets stronger, the sensation seems much more like vibration vs. sucking. On lower levels, it’s a steady air pressure pulse and gentle suction.
While it did take me a little while to get the toy situated, it was pretty effective once in place, and I had no trouble reaching orgasm with it. Never did the suction get so intense that I worried I wouldn’t be able to remove it; it’s a mild suction with increasing levels of air pressure. I did notice that when I squeezed my legs around the toy, the sensations diminished. The motor is such that a lot of external pressure makes it go slower/weaken. This is probably fine, but I wouldn’t go trying to crush it with your thighs.
Kudos and Caveats
Kudos for a body-safe silicone product that’s 100% waterproof. That’s right — the octopus can (of course!) go swimming with you.
Kudos for an adorable aesthetic. In addition to the octopus, Interesting Realm has a pig and a bunny, if the octopus isn’t your thing. I appreciate that it’s octopus-like enough to be adorable, but it’s not aiming for realism.
Caveat: this isn’t the most powerful clit sucker I’ve used, and the sensation is a bit of a vibration/suction mix at higher levels. This works fine for me, but it’s worth knowing about ahead of time.
Another caveat: the small nozzle makes me less likely to grab this toy over one with a bigger nozzle. It’s just hard to situate for me, and I’m not getting the full “engulfed clit” sensation of a Satisfyer or Womanzier product. That doesn’t mean this is bad, by any means; it’s just not the best one out there.
A mixed bag of kudos/caveat with the price. Currently, this piece is $58.99 at Interesting Realm, which is a bit on the high side but not unreasonable. It’s a quality product. Final Thoughts
I love cute products, and I really love cute products that get me off. The octopus clit sucker has a few design flaws, but it’s a quality clit sucker, and I enjoyed using it. This would be a great toy to get as a gift for someone: it has all the adorable features of a novelty product while still delivering good orgasms.
An important note before you go shopping: the ad copy on Interesting Realm is clearly translated rather than written in English, and so there are a number of errors. I wouldn’t let this deter you; the products I’ve used have been excellent and the service has been great.
