Welcome to Day 3 of National Masturbation Month. Today, I thought I’d do a brief write-up of one of my favorite sex toys, the nJoy fun wand.
Before we get to that, though, the results of yesterday’s Twitter survey. I asked the question “How often, on average, do you typically masturbate?” A total of 74% of respondents rub one out at least twice a week, with 41% of you saying 2-4 times per week, and 33% of you saying at least once a day. Thanks for replying! Check the bottom of this post for today’s survey.

The nJoy Fun Wand: For Your nJoyment
A few years ago, a dear friend recommended this sex toy to me. “You have to get it,” she said. “I know it doesn’t look like much, but give it a try.” I trust this friend enough to actually take her sex toy recommendation advice, so I called my local women-owned sex shop and asked whether they carried it. And they did! I drove out to give it a look-see.
My first impressions were that this thing could not be worth the money. It was nice and heavy, sure, and it looked pretty, but it wasn’t like I was going to keep it on my coffee table as art or something. What did looks matter? Despite my doubts, I shelled out the money and came home with this odd little dildo.
Readers, my mind was quickly changed. The fun wand is more than fun. It’s funomenal! (I’m actually cringing, but I feel like I have to leave that terrible pun there now that I typed it.)
The Positive
Its magic comes in the combination of the subtle curve and the heft. This means that by rocking the toy back and forth, or tugging it forward along the inner walls of the vagina, it presses beautifully into the g-spot. I’ve never been huge into g-spot stimulation, but this toy has turned me into a convert. Because it has weight, you can actually feel its pressure, more than a similarly-shaped silicone toy.
There are other bonuses, too. While I prefer the smooth side, the side with graduated bulbs is great fun for anal play. This leaves you with a nice handle with which to manage the inserted end. Because it’s steel, it’s fun for temperature play: it’s cold if you want it to be, and it warms up quickly with body heat. Steel toys can be sanitized by boiling or a run through the dishwasher, too.
The NEgative
Because of the shape and weight of this toy, if you let it go, it will twist inside you, preferring to end up sideways. This means that instead of it pressing nicely into your g-spot, it’ll be pressing some side spot on your vaginal walls. It’s also not very wide, which is fine for g-spot stimulation, but if you like that “full” feeling, look elsewhere. A very big downside for some is the price tag, but I’m less likely to rate that a downside personally because I will save up for a good-quality sex toy.
Conclusions
This is one of my favorite toys. It’s a nice kind of stimulation, it’s easy to keep clean, it’s very high quality, and I know I’ll have it for a long time.
