It’s the third day of Dicksmas, the holiday sex toy review fest that obeys no rules of the calendar! Today, I’m sharing my Honeypot CBD Lube review. This was a unique product that was a lot of fun to review, and one I think many of my readers will enjoy. I’m posting on Christmas day, so hopefully some lube will spread a little Christmas cheer… or aid you in de-stressing after the holidays.
Out of the Box
I need to talk right away about the Honeypot lube packaging, because it is gorgeous.
That branding! The honeycomb that also looks like chemistry, the pot leaf that looks like a flower, the white and gold on black, it’s just beautiful. I love it.

This lube has a pump top to make it easy to dispense as much as you’d like.
A Word About Lube
Before I get to talking about this particular lube, I want to talk about lube in general. I’m one of the people who generally makes a lot of my own lubrication. But there are reasons why I — and everyone — benefit from lube from time to time! Such as in any of these situations:
- You want to start fooling around before your body has gotten on board
- You’re on a medication that inhibits lubrication
- Your hormone situation or body chemistry is making things a bit dry
- Taking the scenic route for sex or masturbation, when you’re just gettin’ busy for a really long time
- Dehydration
- Anal play of any kind
- You just want things to be a bit slipperier
Lube is fucking fabulous. Even if you produce a good amount of lube naturally, don’t write off the potential of some chemical assistance…especially with a lube as good as this one.
Onto My Box
An important note is that the Honeypot CBD lube is silicone lube, meaning it is not safe to use with silicone toys. You can use it with other materials, including condoms, and it’s fine. I used it with my non-silicone dildos.
I noticed immediately that the Honeypot lube kept room temperature very well. Some lubes tend to run cold, but this lube was such a neutral temperature that it felt completely natural. It also has a silky smooth texture. It never got sticky or tacky, as some lubricants can. The combination of these two elements means that the Honeypot lube feels almost exactly like body-produced lube.
The CBD infusion is supposed to promote relaxation, deeper arousal, and more intense orgasms. I’m not sure that’s something that can actually be proven, so I’ve just gotta go on my own experiences. Using this lube, I felt warm, tingly, lazy in the best kind of way. It made me want to take my time and enjoy the moment.
Orgasms are always pretty relaxing, so it’s hard to know if the CBD had any effect. But I was testing this product during one of the most stressful times of my life lately, as my husband and I packed up our condo and moved into a new house. And during the testing process, I didn’t feel stressed. I definitely felt chill. Was it the CBD lube, or was it the masturbation? I can’t be sure, but I think it was the combo of both.
Kudos and Caveats
Kudos for a silicone-based lube that does not feel sticky or tacky and simulates body-produced lubrication beautifully.
More kudos for CBD infusion. Folks will be more or less sensitive to the CBD, but it’s a nice addition that goes well with the positive qualities of sexual activity (solo or with a partner).
Caveat: this lube will not get you high. It has CBD, not THC. THC is the part of the cannabis plant that gets you high. So don’t worry about that with this lube…but also don’t buy it for that reason, either.
Caveat: as I said before, you can’t use this (or any lube) with silicone toys, so if you’re looking for a lube for that purpose, you need a water-based lube.
Kudos for silicone lubes in general, which are safe to use with condoms and also great for fun in the bath or shower, as they won’t wash away as quickly as water-based lubes.
Caveat: like all products that go on your bits, there’s a possibility you might have a sensitivity to one of the ingredients. Test it a bit before you go slathering it everywhere.
Final Thoughts
I loved testing out Honeypot CBD lube. It’s a high-quality product and it’s pretty ingenious, actually. CBD helps a lot of folks in many ways, and putting it in lube is brilliant. I love the branding and the product equally. For Dicksmas this year, get yourself or your partner the gift of lube! It’s good for your honeypot.
