Happy New Year, folks. It’s a beautiful snowy day today, a perfect day to stay inside with a cup of tea and some sex toys. I’m on the blog reviewing the Swirlii from Tracy’s Dog, a toy which fortunately does not involve 1. dogs or 2. having your head dunked in a toilet. (Which reminds me — is “swirlie” a regional term, or does everyone know this middle school bullying ritual by the same name?) The Swirlii I’m reviewing today is a wearable toy that combines clit vibration with an internal circus of stimulation. Let’s get into it!
First Impressions
The Swirlii comes in a simple box with an image of the product and branding on the front.
Here’s what you’ll find inside that box. Look at all this stuff!
In addition to the Swirlii itself (and remote control, charging cable, and manuals), you get a cotton storage bag and a couple of packets of lube (very thoughtful of them), and of course, stickers. Tracy’s Dog always sends stickers along with their toys — I think they do for everybody, not just reviewers — and the stickers are really cute.
I’ve talked ad nauseum about how horrible I find the name “Tracy’s Dog” for a sex toy company, but also, I’m a fan of their products, so I’ve had to make my peace with it. Having cute stickers softens the impact, as it were. But I’m not here for stickers! Let’s talk sex toy.
The Swirlii is unusually shaped, and you can see that right away. The insertable portion has a wide curved portion that moves around in a circle along with a flexible thingamabob that is designed to press against the g-spot. Externally, the clit stimulator is a raised bump to help direct vibrations.
Here’s the Swirlii from several different angles.
It’s pretty different from other kinds of wearable sex toys. As mentioned before, it’s remote controlled, so here’s that:
Simple two buttons, one to control the vibration and one to control the swirling internal arm.
In Use
I found this a really interesting toy to test. The initial insertion is a small roadblock — the toy takes some lining up to get both of the insertable portions inside without the floppy thingamabob flopping out. Use lube and go slow. Once it’s situated, though, it stays put very well.
The external vibration is strong and effective, and it’s nice to have the raised bump to target that vibration where it needs to go. The internal swiveling is a really nice sensation. I like movement internally better than vibration, so this is a well-designed toy for me. The free range g-spot arm helps transmit that motion as well.
The remote control is effective and simple, and it’s easy enough to cycle through vibration and rotation intensity and patterns. I found this an easy toy to get off with, although it’s not quiet enough that it works as a discreet public play toy. And as you all know, my rule of public play is that other people did not consent to be involved in your sex play, so be completely discreet or don’t do it at all.
Kudos and Caveats
Kudos for a creative design that hits all the hot spots. Love the external vibration and internal rotation.
Caveat: I think it’s a bit more complicated than it needs to be, internally. I’m not sold on the floppy thingamabob and its role in my orgasm. I’d prefer a single internal arm that was rounder to hit my g-spot on its own rather than relying on the extra appendage that complicates insertion.
Kudos for a basic remote control that does what I need it to do. Two buttons, no apps or Bluetooth. This might be a drawback for some people, but it’s a plus for me.
Kudos for waterproofing. Easy to clean and fun to take in the bath or shower.
Not really a caveat, but more of a wish: the external vibrator is great and all, rumbly and effective, but damn, this thing would be magic if the external portion were a clit sucker like the OG Pro 2. I’d still be in bed right now.
Kudos for pricing. As I post this review, the Swirlii is only $40 on sale right now, which in the world of sex toys is cheap enough to be ludicrous. Seriously, if you’re even considering this purchase, that should sway you.
Final Thoughts
The Swirlii is a wearable vibrator that provides hands-free fun with unique sensations. If you prefer the feeling of internal movement over pure vibration, this is your toy. While it may be a bit complex to get everything situated, the rewards are well worth the effort. And at these prices, it’s a steal.
You can get the Swirlii directly from Tracy’s Dog.
