VVD Rider Desire Review: Saddle Up!

I’m so excited to be on the blog today with my VVD Rider Desire review. I’ve been trying to get my hands on a sex saddle or rideable toy setup for forever, and VVD came through with their flagship product that’s a complete delight. With thoughtful design and surprising versatility, the Rider Desire is a perfect addition to any toy chest.

First Impressions

The Rider Desire and Vkini showed up together in a mammoth packaging setup that probably flummoxed the FedEx guy. The packaging was discreet, but once I got under all that wrapping, I had this beauty on my kitchen table.

Open sesame! Inside is the big saddle, plus a smaller box with the three interchangeable vibrators in it. Here’s a look first at the saddle.

For something this size, it’s surprisingly light. Very easy to pick up and move, but sturdy as well.

There’s a clit stimulator that produces a tapping sensation. Here I am poking it.

Then there’s a slot with magnetic attachment for the vibrators.

Here are the vibrator options in their pretty box.

Now let’s look at your options.

Option 1: Thruster.

This vibrator extends and retracts.

Option 2: Tapper

This one, which looks disturbingly like a thumb, taps against the g-spot.

Option 3: Flexible Vibrator

This one vibrates throughout the shaft, and has a pronounced ridge for g-spot stimulation. It’s softer/bendier than the other two and a bit bigger.

The bottom of each vibrator has contact points for situating it in the saddle, as well as a groove to line it up properly.

And once you lock one into place, Ta-Dah!

It’s a saddle with a vibrator! On my kitchen table!

Vibrator controls are available either underneath the front lip of the Rider Desire or via remote control.

If you take a close look at that first picture of the underside of the saddle, you may notice a little flap to lift and expose the USB-C charging port. Yup, good old USB-C. The textured grips there help the saddle keep from sliding away from you.

The center saddle button turns it on, and then the other buttons control the vibrator and the clit stimulator. The remote control controls each of these functions as well. The remote takes a standard watch battery, and I opened it up to show you.

Now let’s talk business, shall we?

In Use

I was so excited to try out the VVD Rider Desire, and I put it through its paces. It’s best used in either a kneeling position or straddled on a raised surface. Once settled, you need to maneuver into position to make sure the clit stimulator is lined up. Then it’s all systems go.

I had a hard time deciding which of the three vibrators I liked best. I ended up swapping between them quite a bit when testing because I wanted to compare. The sizes are comparable, although Option 3 is slightly bigger. Mounting and dismounting midflight is somewhat onerous, but the actual act of changing the vibrators is really easy. They lock into place well with the magnets, but they also detach fairly easily. They aren’t going to dislodge in use but they will come off when needed.

The clit stimulator offered a variety of patterns. I liked the tapping sensation, although at times I wanted something stronger and more sustained. But any time I used this saddle, I had no trouble getting off. I could take a leisurely jaunt or a quicker ride and get exactly where I wanted to go. And it was so fun.

Kudos and Caveats

Kudos for design. The VVD Rider Desire is lightweight and easy to charge, with a simple layout and effective motors. The rocking motion allows for you to control the stimulation and encourages movement.

More kudos for choice. I love getting three different vibrators to choose from, each with a different function and sensation. Accompanying caveat: I’d love to get even more different vibrators that work with this, perhaps in varying thicknesses.

Kudos for an effective clit stimulator. It’s not a buzzy vibrator, and the tapping is pleasant and effective. Accompanying caveat: a strong rumbly vibrator, or (even better) a pressure wave clit suction device, would absolutely blow my mind. I’d never write this post because I’d still be in the bedroom.

Caveat: the intensity on the Rider Desire isn’t as high as some other products of a similar design.

Kudos for a remote control that makes this saddle a breeze to use alone or with a partner.

Kudos for water resistance: while you shouldn’t submerge this product, IPX5 water resistance makes it easier to wipe down and clean. Caveat: make sure all magnetic points are dry before using.

Final kudos for price point! Yeah, it’s not a cheap toy, but it costs less than some high-end vibrators. And it’s a sex saddle! Right now, it’s on sale for $239, which is a 40% savings off the sticker price. Even better: I have a discount code! Use the code ELIARIDER for $20 off.

Final Thoughts

The VVD Rider Desire is so much fun. It’s what I hoped for from a sex saddle. Sure, it’s not as powerful as some other sex machine-style devices, but it’s well-designed and effective. Plus you can save $20 with my ELIARIDER discount code. With the sale price, it’s a great time to add this amazing product to your toy collection.
