Elia grew up blessed with an artsy, creative, quirky family that nurtured her eccentricities and helped shape her into the woman she is today. She started sneaking her mother’s romance novels when she was way too young for them, and in Catholic high school, kept her friends entertained by writing a steady stream of explicit stories while somehow never getting caught.
